Adiós DiGi

after a 12 years relationship with DiGi telco, i finally throw in the towel and part ways with DiGi... reason???... their services are getting worse day by day... nevermind about data which is the most important things for me to stay connected but it was their call coverage the other which was so bad that triggers me off...

so having departed from DiGi, which telco did i picked???... well it has got to be Celcom hahaha... many asked me why not Maxis???... well the answer for that from me is simple as Celcom data plan seems to be cheaper and more reasonable as they will not charge me extra if i exceeded the quota... they will only throttle down the speed similar to DiGi...

2012 first resolution is to say goodbye to DiGi after 12 yrs and Hi, Celcom... ;)

with the new data plan from Celcom which is RM 88 for 5GB worth of data at 3.6Mbps, it should be enough for me to stay connected hehehe... and becoz Celcom doesn't have call plans which is pay as you use, i opt for the cheapest call plan as i rarely use my phone to call out... this means that i need to pay RM 20/mth for standard access fee + my call usage and sms charges... let's see how this plan works and if on average it reaches around 50 plus, i may want to go for the RM 50 call plan... hmm... let's see...

after just a day, i can already feel the vast difference between DiGi and Celcom... haih... i was a big fan of DiGi but then they somehow screw up of late...

after taking the risks earlier of the week, i need to perform some major follow up tasks to ensure that i'm on track... to be honest this is not something easy but luckily still managable...

so today i'm meeting an expert in this field to further discuss on the available options that i have pertaining to this matter as i know very very little about it... since she's coming over here to my housing area to meet up with another client, so its rather convenient for me... well couldn't argue rite as they are the subject matter experts at their profession...

luckily the person whom i met earlier was a person well equipped as she's able to provide me answers to almost all the questions i threw at her... hahaha... and that's a very positive sign at least she know what she's proposing for me... so let's wait for the reply and hopefully its okay in order for me to proceed further... sigh*** headache stuff...

World Vision Volunteer ~ Training/Briefing

after participating as a volunteer at this year World Vision 30-Hour Famine, i've signed up myself once again as a volunteer for their Gifts of Hope roadshow this year... and the venue i've signed up will be at 1 Utama Shopping Complex...

it is compulsory that we have to attend the training/briefing session which was held at their office training site located at Kelana Centre Point... the session starts at 9am in the morning and i reached there on the dot hahaha... actually when i though about it now, it's actually even earlier than my normal time into the office hahahaha... ;p oopss...

there were approximately 40 pax there and we were divided into 4 groups to perform a small activities which is to build a house + community using only limited newspaper and cellotape... it was actually quite fun hahaha... and as usual the PowerPoint drilling session begins soon after the activities hahaha.. but at least it didn't bored us down into sleepy mode ;)

the session was supposed to end at 12 noon but we were slightly ahead of time and it ended briefly at 11:30am... so we depart off the training office and headed home... i've promised to myself that i'll try to allocate certain amount of my time for charity work from this year and onwards... somehow i think i can do something back for the society even though i know it's small contribution...
